SURREY (NEWS1130) – Surrey RCMP are asking for your help in finding a prolific bank robber.

Mounties say Robert John Paton is wanted on four outstanding robbery warrants out of Vancouver and and is a suspect in several other robberies in Surrey, Langley, and Burnaby.

The 32-year-old is known to disguise his appearance with wigs and glasses. Police say he has threatened bank employees with violence.

“Although no one was injured during this recent robbery series, this individual is still considered dangerous due to his level of desperation,” says Surrey RCMP Cpl. Bert Paquet. “We do not expect him to stop committing these crimes.”

Paton is white, 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He’s believed to be living in the City Centre area of Surrey.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, contact the Surrey RCMP Robbery Section at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Police are advising you do not approach, contact, or attempt to apprehend Paton.
