ABBOTSFORD (NEWS1130) – If you’re going to speed, you probably shouldn’t have four young kids in the back seat of your car.
Abbotsford police nabbed a new driver doing 105km/hr in a 60 zone this week.
And only three of those kids who were in the back of her BMW were wearing seat belts.
One of the kids should have been in a booster seat but there wasn’t one in the car.
Cst. Ian MacDonald says the driver is in trouble. “The vehicle was towed. She and the children had to make alternate arrangements as far as transportation was concerned. She will receive an excessive speeding ticket.”
He says the motor vehicles branch will probably be coming after her.
She was a new driver and also lost her car.

if she has 4 kids, (and they are all hers) I doubt she is that young.
Not all young BMW drivers are rich, spoiled kids! My 20-year old worked his ass off in several jobs until he had enough money to buy himself his beloved BMW, and he is a great kid. This woman shouldn’t only have lost her car, why were those kids left with her “having to find an alternate way home”? The kids should have been taken home.
BMW, Mercedies, Lexus, Audi’s, they are all the same, drive like idiots. Throw the book at her.
I wonder if this new driver will also blame the new Port Mann bridge if she skidded on black ice and crashed her BMW.
Where in this report does it say the age of the driver? SHE may be 58!!! Why do people assume all new drivers are teenagers?
Thanks for the Justice this Time …………… Its Very Rare ………….
If a new driver gets nailed for excessive speeding, suspend their license for five years.
No sympathy, since we all know the deal when we hop in the car, like it or not.
It might seem like overkill to some, bu the reality is, when you hop in your car and drive 40k+ over the limit, you are betting your car that you wont get caught. Sometimes you lose.
A new driver should not be so stupid, so maybe she needs a few years to grow up before continuing on with driving.
New driver in a BMW must be nice! cost of ticket likely won’t be an issue for her…
you have that part right, the ticket is a walk in the park for her. She has a lot of growing up to do, and her parents need to stop spoiling her, she isn’t learning and I doubt they care. But the safety of those children boggles my mind as that tells you what type of person she has grown to in her 20 years, she has no respect for anyone or anything.
