ABBOTSFORD (NEWS1130) – The woman found dead in a ditch along Riverside Road in Abbotsford Monday was hit by a car.
Investigators say there were significant injuries to her back torso that are consistent with being struck by a vehicle.

Constable Ian MacDonald says it’s just a matter of time before the driver responsible is found.

“There is not a point in time where it’s going to be too late to come forward, except if we knock on your door. At that point, I think your world will definitively will cave in,” says MacDonald.

He says the driver and any possible passengers must have known they hit something or someone.

MacDonald adds evidence suggests the 34-year-old was hit while walking on the shoulder some time between Friday and Monday.

“For that reason we are making the appeal to anyone who would have been in or around the area of Riverside Rd, south of King Rd in Abbotsford, to call Abbotsford Police if you have any information that either pertains to this South Asian pedestrian that was walking, or any notations of that particular area where her body was found,” says MacDonald.
