Charges laid in Jonathan Bacon murder: reports

By

DELTA (NEWS1130) – Police may have solved the murder of high-profile gangster Jonathan Bacon.

They aren’t saying much, but the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit is expected to release more information on a “significant development in a gang murder investigation” this afternoon.

The Vancouver Sun is reporting several suspects with links to the Dhak/Duhre gang were arrested on Friday in connection with the Bacon case.

Bacon was in a luxury SUV outside a hotel in Kelowna when a masked man sprayed the Porsche Cayenne with gunfire in August, 2011.

Bacon was killed and four others, including a member of the Hells Angels and two women, were injured. One of the women is now paralyzed.

Several members of the Dhak/Duhre crew have been gunned down since Bacon was killed.

Sandip “Dip” Duhre was shot dead in a restaurant in downtown Vancouver in January of last year. Sukh Dhak and another man were killed in a hotel in Burnaby in November.

Bacon is the eldest of three brothers.

Jarrod Bacon is serving a 12-year prison sentence for conspiracy to traffic cocaine. Jamie Bacon is waiting for his murder trial to start in the Surrey Six case.
