CENTRAL COAST (NEWS1130) – A BC First Nations group is marking the 24th anniversary of one of the worst oil spills in history with a new ad campaign against the proposed Northern Gateway project.
Art Sterritt with Coastal First Nations says the catastrophic Exxon Valdez spill in Alaska in 1989 provides a great argument for keeping massive oil tankers out of BC waters.
Sterritt is launching a TV and social media ad to air on networks along the proposed pipeline route, warning of the potential threat to BC’s environment.
Enbridge, the company behind Northern Gateway, has launched a multi-million dollar ad campaign of its own in support of the pipeline.
