Help offered to businesses not ready for PST/GST switch

VICTORIA (NEWS1130) – The BC government is offering help for businesses that still haven’t registered to switch back to a PST and GST tax system on Monday.
Those with questions can call toll free lines at the Ministry of State for Small Business.
The ministry is also developing an outreach program to give businesses the one-on-one help they might need to collect the tax properly.
The end of the Harmonized Tax means consumers can expect to save on food purchases, restaurant meals, gym memberships, movie tickets, and personal services like haircuts.
