Debate 2013: Four-way fight on April 29th

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A debate between the leaders of all four of BC’s major political parties has been confirmed for the end of the month.

Christy Clark of the BC Liberals, Adrian Dix of the BC NDP, John Cummins of the BC Conservatives, and Jane Sterk of the BC Greens will participate in the 90-minute debate on April 29th. It will start at 6:30 p.m.

News1130 will carry the debate live; you can also watch it on City.

Earlier this week, the premier was calling for a one-on-one debate with Dix.

“Debates are about our chance to compare and contrast leadership and compare and contrast ideas. And we haven’t seen a lot of either from the NDP so far,” said Clark.

“I think it’s incredibly disrespectful to put forward these kind of phony election-tile challenges,” responded Dix.

Veteran broadcaster Jennifer Burke will moderate the debate.
