NICOLA LAKE (NEWS1130) – RCMP have confirmed that the bodies of the two missing Langley teens have now been recovered.

Austin Kingsborough and Brendan Wilson were last seen April 21st on Nicola Lake near Merritt.

The two were reported missing when they didn’t return to Langley as planned after a weekend trip to a family cabin on.

Barb McLintock with the BC Coroners Service says the bodies were located by a team from Idaho, hired by family members of the victims.

“The result of that was they were able to pinpoint a good location for the underwater recovery very quickly, and that was extremely useful.”

The next day their canoe was found, half-submerged in the lake with their personal property located near by.

The boys were found in Nicola bay near the area where their canoe had been located.
