SURREY (NEWS1130) – After weeks of waiting, a man from Surrey has claimed his Lotto 6-49 prize of more than $31 million.
Harry Black has won his millions with not one, but two tickets.
The 66-year-old has been buying two tickets with the same numbers for as long as the game has been around.
He says he’s excited about his big win, but doesn’t plan on splurging. “I already have enough toys. I worked hard for them, maybe I’ll have time to play with them. I’m just going to go to the airport, buy a ticket for the nearest flight out and go.”
Black’s winning tickets were drawn in April. He says it took him so long to come forward because winning can be stressful. “I have worked in high-stress jobs and you have no idea how much stress there is when you win the lotto.”
He plans on continuing to work part-time in the film industry and build a new home.
