First flight of CSeries jet delayed by a month to end of July

MONTREAL (NEWS1130) – The first flight of Bombardier’s new CSeries jet has been delayed by a month.

The Montreal-based company says the inaugural flight of its new flagship passenger jet is now scheduled by the end of July.

It’s not the first delay for the much-anticipated CSeries jet, which is expected to compete with some of the smaller planes made by Boeing and Airbus.

Bombardier (TSX:BBD.B) had rescheduled the first flight after falling behind its original plans late last year.

It had been expected to perform the test flight by the end of June but the company has refused repeated requests for a more specific timetable.
