Gas prices expected to tumble

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Gas prices are expected to fall in the coming weeks here in Metro Vancouver.

Jason Toes with Gasbuddy.com predicts it’ll be a savings of about 10 to 15 cents a litre.

He says it comes down to demand. “It’s the time of year that gas prices are typically falling, our summer vacations are over, the kids are back in school, we generally do less driving especially here in Canada, we don’t like to drive when it’s cold.”

Toews predicts the trend will sweep across the United States as well. He says even with lower prices a Canada, a trip south of the border will save you anywhere from 20 to 30 cents a litre.

That means unless a hurricane hits he gulf coast or there’s a major incident in the middle east people are likely to save a few bucks.

“Generally speaking if nothing happens like that we should see gas prices going down.”
