A global survey from American Express has found 90 per cent of Canadians will log on to Facebook or Twitter to tell people about the great service we receive. The survey also finds we also move fast: about one third of us will share the news of great service within an hour.

We are especially impressed when someone provides an act of service from the heart or goes out of their way to solve a problem.

The survey was conducted in Canada, Australia, Mexico and the UK.

Canadians who are impressed by service will tell about 20 people; those in the retail industry say positive feedback is one of the best motivators.
