Still no word on possible tolls on Massey replacement

RICHMOND (NEWS1130) – Will you have to pay a toll to cross the bridge that will replace the Massey Tunnel?
We are still no closer to knowing. We asked Liberal MLA Peter Fassbender, who’s the former vice-chair of the Mayor’s Council, why the government isn’t saying much about financing.
Fassbender has been looking at traffic patterns for years; he says the discussions have only just begun.
“All of of the financial modeling, the engineering work is ongoing now. Until that’s finished, none of us are going to comment on what that final result is other than the fact that the right people are sitting down, we’re engaging the community and that discussion moving forward.”
As far as congestion in Metro Vancouver, Fassbender says the new bridge will help address those concerns.
