Car rams into Vancouver restaurant, injures police officers

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A car travelling down Denman St. in Vancouver’s West End has rammed into a Fatburger restaurant, injuring a number of people dining inside.
The Vancouver Police Department says four police officers dining in the restaurant at the time have been injured.
This man, who works at the Falafel King across the street, describes what he saw.
“The car was going fast. After the car crashed inside, I went up to the restaurant to see what was going on. I saw the cops all over the floor,” he explains.
“They were lucky. They were very, very lucky. They were okay, but it looks like they had broken hands and broken legs, something like that.”
He says the female driver of the car emerged okay. He figures about nine people altogether were injured.
