VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Progress is being made at St. Paul’s Hospital where they’ve been dealing with a Norovirus outbreak
One of two wards is being re-opened after being closed to new patients last week.
Shafe Hussain with St. Paul’s Hospital says infected patients in ward 7 B are no longer showing symptoms of the virus. We’re happy to announce it has now been re-opened and we’re now sending in new patients in there and admitting them, as required.
He says ward 10 B remains closed to new patients. “We don’t have any new cases of Norovirus in our 10 B ward, we do have a couple patients that are still symptomatic.”
Hussain says all patients must be clear of symptoms before they’ll consider re-opening that ward.
