BC Place transforms for Heritage Classic

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – There hasn’t been a lot of buzz for tomorrow’s Heritage Classic between the Canucks and Senators, with reports there are still thousands of unsold tickets.

News1130‘s Sports Director Ann Schmaltz is down at BC Place for the final day of preparation.

She says BC Place looks incredible. “They even have fake snow, which is cotton, rolled out across the field to make it look like snow. They’ve got some guys here that are dubbed the professional snow fluffers.”

She says there’s no word on whether the roof will be open, but she thinks it needs to be. “Otherwise it’ll just look like a big dome or a big arena.”

The forecast for the game is calling for rain or wet snow.

If you want to stop by and say hello, News1130 will have a booth set up on the Terry Fox Plaza all day.
