Edmonton couple robbed at gunpoint in North Vancouver

NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – An Edmonton couple is recovering after being robbed at gunpoint at a North Vancouver hotel.

Police say three men burst into the couple’s hotel room early last Saturday and robbed them of their cell phones, wallets, cash, jewelry, and iPad.

“The male victim recieved some injuries to his head. The suspects left, police arrived, and with the help of the victim they were able to identify the main suspect through a picture on Facebook,” explains Cpl. Richard De Jong.

That suspect is said to be a friend of a mutual friend.

A search warrant was executed the next day and three men were arrested.

Liban Robleh, 26, has been charged with three firearms offences. He is being held in custody with his next court date scheduled for April 17.

Police say the investigation in continuing and expect the two other suspects to be charged.
