Stolen French Bulldog found in Abbotsford

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A French Bulldog stolen last Thursday from a Downtown Vancouver tattoo parlour has been found.

Chloe is safe, but the mystery behind her theft remains.

Sgt. Randy Fincham says the most talked about dog in Vancouver was found wandering around a residential area in Abbotsford yesterday afternoon.

He says she was picked by Fraser Valley Regional District Animal Control and was returned to her owner this morning.

Fincham says, although they knew who they were looking for after seeing the surveillance video taken inside the tattoo shop from where the dog was stolen, he doesn’t think the woman acted alone.

“We do believe that there was that there was a relationship between the person that may have orchestrated this theft and then the current owner of the dog which is from the tattoo shop.”

Fincham says they believe a dispute in the bulldog’s ownership is behind the abduction.

No charges have been laid but police are continuing with an investigation.

On Thursday April 17th, a woman went into the Fall Tattooing Shop on Seymour Street and made off with the ten month-old dog.

She was captured on surveillance video running from the store and witnesses reported seeing her flee in a getaway car that was waiting in front of the shop.
