MONCTON, N.B.- The suspect in the slaying of three Codiac RCMP officers and the wounding of two others was spotted this morning.

But Commanding Officer Roger Brown says they were unable to apprehend 24 year old Justin Bourque.

RCMP provided an update today in the search for the shooting suspect and Superintendent Marlene Snowman says they are attempting to compile information about Justin Bourque. “We’re doing a complete investigation to learn as much as we can about him and about his history and what may have sparked this and where we go from now and what other developments this can identify as possible leads”, says Snowman.

The lockdown continues today in northwest Moncton with very little traffic in other parts of the city as well.

RCMP are asking the public to remain calm and to stay inside and to call 911 if they see anything suspicious.
