Homicide in Surrey

SURREY (NEWS1130) – IHIT is investigating a homicide on 156th Street near 24th Avenue in Surrey.

Emergency crews found the man dead this morning after responding to a 911 call from the home.

Police are not saying how the man was killed but do say it appears to be targeted.

The swat team has approached the house, and has apparently ordered someone out of the home over a loud speaker.

This is the third killing in Surrey after a shooting near the Gateway Skytrain Station and a fatal beating at house party in Newton on Thursday. On Wednesday, there was also a non-fatal shooting in the Clayton Heights area.

A neighbour in the area says he is trying to move after having his home broken into seven times in just five years.
