VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – On day two of the NHL free agency period, the Canucks added a forward to the roster.

Radim Vrbata signed to a two-year deal worth $10 million. Vrbata is a six-foot-one, Czech Republic native.

The 33-year-old scored 20 goals and had 31 assists last season for the Phoenix Coyotes.

He has 215 goals and 249 assists in 12 seasons with Colorado, Carolina, Chicago, Tampa Bay and Phoenix.

Earlier in the day, GM Jim Benning announced the club signed centres Dustin Jeffrey and Cal O’Reilly and defenceman Bobby Sanguinetti.

Jeffrey split last season between the Pittsburgh Penguins, Dallas Stars and Texas Stars. In Texas, he played for the newly appointed head coach of the Canucks, Willie Desjardins.

O’Reilly spent time in the KHL with the Magnitogorsk Metallurg and in the American Hockey League with Vancouver’s farm team – the Utica Comet.

Sanguinetti also played in the KHL with the Moscow Oblast Atlant. He has three seasons in the NHL on his resume with the Carolina Hurricanes and New York Rangers.
