Massive drug bust in Langley

By

SURREY (NEWS1130) – Nearly $400,000 worth of illegal drugs are off the streets after a huge bust in Langley.

The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Team seized the drugs on a week ago after raiding a suite in a building on 236th Street.

Police are hoping a massive bust in Langley makes a dent in the local drug trade.

Someone tipped off police that a suite on 236th Street was full of drugs. On July 23rd, officers paid a visit to the building and found $150,000 worth of coke and $100,000 worth of meth among other drugs that will now not make it onto the streets, “and into the hands of some of the most vulnerable people in our communities,” says Sgt Lindsay Houghton.

Three men have been arrested in relation to this; officers say they are high-ranking members of the 8-5-6 gang.

The men have since been released because charges haven’t been recommended yet.
