Two suspicious deaths in Metro Vancouver

SURREY(NEWS1130) – Police in Surrey and New Westminster are dealing with suspicious deaths.
The first happened late yesterday afternoon at a halfway house near Nanaimo and 12th in New West.
Councillor Chuck Puchmayr lives three doors down from the home and says the neighbourhood has really changed in the last few years, becoming really safe.
“Police have been very creative in anti-prostitution initiatives so this is a real surprise to all of us when an incident like this happens.”
A few hours later at around 7pm, the body of a young person was found near 146th and 66th in Surrey.
Police aren’t saying if these two deaths are related or how the people died.
No names have been released.
The investigation into this death is on-going and is being handled by Surrey Serious Crime Investigators.
