Looking good, Vancouver! City gets top marks for attractiveness

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Good job Vancouver! The Conference Board of Canada says if you’re looking for a change of scenery, we likely rank near the top of the list.
The Board’s report says Vancouver is one of the most attractive cities to move to.
The report counts people moving within and from outside of Canada.
“There are things about Vancouver that are very attractive to international migrants, inter-provincial migrants, and even people from other cities in BC,” says Economist Greg Sutherland with the Board.
“For Vancouver, it seems to be more of a society and environment aspect, although they do score well on education and health,” he tells us.
Our biggest drawback? A lack of affordable housing.
Other cities that received an “A” for attractiveness? Ottawa, Richmond Hill, Waterloo, Calgary, and St. John’s.
