VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canucks have frozen ticket prices from last year at the box office but a Forbes article out this weekend outlines you can expect to pay more this season to watch the Canucks at Rogers Arena if you buy your ticket from a broker.
The article says the average price for a secondary ticket this season is just over $296, roughly $30 more than last season.
That means Vancouver now has the third most expensive re-sold NHL seats, behind only Toronto and Edmonton.
If you want to watch the Maple Leafs, expect to pay a whopping $446, with an Oilers game costing you $328. The Chicago Blackhawks have the highest average price on the secondary market in the United States with a ticket running $279.
To find a hockey deal, you have to fly pretty far south, with the Carolina Hurricanes having the cheapest average at only $62 dollars, followed by the Arizona Coyotes and Florida Panthers.
