VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Vancouver police have released a description of a suspect in the stabbing and sexual assault of a 35-year-old woman.
Police are describing the suspect in the Saturday night assault as Middle Eastern, in his mid to late 40s, about 6’2″ tall, and weighing about 250 lbs.
He has an olive skin tone, speaks with an accent and has a balding head with a short black fringe of hair around the sides and back of his head.
Police say his vehicle is an older model, dark, bluish-green minivan with a sliding door on the passenger’s side and dark tinted windows.
They say the woman was walking along Joyce Street near Archimedes just before midnight last Saturday when she was approached by a man in a vehicle who dragged her inside, physically assaulted her and drove to an area near East 45th Avenue and Rupert Street.
Once there, the woman was stabbed and sexually assaulted.
The woman managed to fight off the attacker, but police say she suffered serious injuries.
