Full scale rescue called after man falls from embankment in South Surrey

SURREY (NEWS1130) A dramatic rescue in South Surrey this afternoon.
Just before 4 p.m., an older man fell down a steep embankment along the water below 128 Street and 13th Avenue.
After falling 15 meters, Surrey Fire and EHS lowered him down to the train tracks below. He was then taken by Air Ambulance to hospital with non-life threatening but serious injuries to his back and legs.
News1130’s Chad Dey says there is a park in the area, but it’s not clear how the person fell.
