Last ditch effort made by some Surrey candidates to sway voters

SURREY (NEWS1130) – The race to replace Dianne Watts in Surrey is the closest in Metro Vancouver candidates have been doing whatever they can to make a difference in this tight race.
Linda Hepner has been organizing her volunteers. We asked her about the latest poll which shows she is basically in a dead heat with fellow candidates Doug McCallum and Barinder Rasode. “I’ve really been focusing on making sure that the residents of Surrey understand our vision and know the directions that we intend on taking the city and maintaining the momentum that we’ve gained over the last nine years under Mayor Dianne Watts’ leadership.”
Barinder Rasode been answering phones all day, but she’s been able to take some time to go door to door. “This campaign is going to be won by getting out the vote. I know that the future of Surrey lies in the hands of those who choose to vote tomorrow. I believe that people are really looking for a better future and some change.”
Doug McCallum’s schedule is too full for more interviews.
The latest numbers from Insights West show Rasode, McCallum and Hepner have split the vote. Each of them have about one third of the support. With a race this tight, a couple of votes could decide the outcome.
