Help News1130 raise food and cash this Thursday for A Loving Spoonful

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – This week, we’re bringing you stories behind A Loving Spoonful as we gear up for our live donation drive on Thursday.

The charity provides nutritious meals to thousands of patients in the Lower Mainland who have a hard time leaving the house due to complications from HIV/AIDS.

“I’ve seen people, unfortunately, who weren’t able to cope with the disease and complications and have passed away. On the other side, I’ve seen some great successes. I’ve seen single moms who are able to get their life back together through the healthy food that we’re able to provide,” says Executive Director Lisa Martella.

On Thursday, December 18th from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., News1130′s Tammy Moyer, along with Breakfast Television on City, will be at 1449 Powell Street (near McLean Drive) in Vancouver. There, you can drop off a non-perishable food item or cash, which will go towards helping people living with HIV/AIDS.

You can also make an online donation anytime by clicking here.
