VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – SHOEme.ca is expanding for a second time.
The Vancouver-based online retailer is buying Shoes.com from Brown Shoe Co. for an undisclosed price. SHOEme already owns Seattle-based OnlineShoes.com. The new acquisition, Shoes.com, is based in St. Louis.
SHOEme CEO Roger Hardy and his partners have been moving into online shoe sales after he sold Vancouver-based Coastal Contacts earlier this year for $430 million to French eyeglass-lens maker Essilor.
He bought OnlineShoes.com and SHOEme.ca in July.
The acquisitions aren’t over; Shoeme says it will “continue its aggressive growth in 2015.”
