Highway One reopened in both directions following diesel spill

By

BURNABY (NEWS1130) – Things are getting back to normal for commuters in Burnaby.

The highway was closed for a period of time between Kensington and Boundary after a tanker truck rear-ended a car and then flipped on its side, spilling diesel all over the road.

The rest of the diesel had to be drained from the truck.

The eastbound lanes of the highway re-opened shortly after 7 a.m., and the westbound lanes opened a short time later.
