The Canucks east coast road swing continues against the Florida Panthers

By

FLORIDA (NEWS1130) – The Canucks resume their road trip against Roberto Luongo and the Florida Panthers tonight. The game is a rematch of a game two weeks ago at Rogers Arena, in which the Panthers walked away with a 3-1 victory. Roberto Luongo was stellar in his first game against his former team and was named the first star. Henrik Sedin says the Canucks have wanted another crack at Luongo since that game.

“He had a great game. I don’t think we played our best, but he played well. We know it is going to be a tough game. They have been losing lately, but they played us hard in our building.”

Daniel Sedin echoes the thoughts of his brother, saying they need to get pucks past Luongo tonight.

“We could have on that game. He was really good and we expect nothing else from him tonight. We have to get bodies in front of the net, shoot the puck and get to those rebounds.”

Luca Sbisa is expected to draw back in to the lineup, with Frank Corrado taking a seat in the press box. Brad Richardson has been dealing with a lower body injury and is questionable to play. Zack Kassian is expected to re-enter the lineup if Richardson can’t go.

The puck drops at 4:30 p.m. You can watch it on Sportsnet Pacific. Listen for game updates every 10 minutes on the fives.
