VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – If your go-to password is nothing but sequential numbers, you might be in trouble but you’re definitely not alone.
SplashData is out with its list of the worst passwords of 2014.
The list pulls from the millions of stolen passwords made public throughout the year.
The top two from last year? Shockingly, “123456” and “password.”
They were also the top two from 2013.
The company based the list on 3.3 million passwords.
The newest entry to the list comes in at Number 6, but it’s not much of a departure: “123456789”
Other new entries include “Admin” and “12345678890” as well as “000000” and “photoshop.”
