VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – If you were dealing with depression, would you tell your boss?
A survey finds about four in ten of us would keep it to ourselves, out of fears it would impact our careers.
Many also choose to stay quiet because of the bad experiences others who came forward have had. Others are afraid of losing friends in the workplace.
But the survey from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health shows many coworkers would want to help those who are dealing with mental issues.
The organization says coming forward could be for the best, saying treatment would benefit the worker and the workplace.
