Canada’s Milos Raonic loses quarter-final at Australian Open

MELBOURNE, Australia – Canada’s Milos Raonic has been eliminated from the Australian Open after losing his quarter-final to top-seed Novak Djokovic.

Raonic, the eighth seed from Thornhill, Ont., lost 7-6 (5), 6-4, 6-2.

Djokovic will next face defending champion Stan Wawrinka in one semifinal while Andy Murray and Tomas Berdych play in the other.

Djokovic, who will play in his 25th Grand Slam semifinal, cruised through the match without ever facing a break point by Raonic.

Djokovic is trying to claim his fifth Australian Open trophy.

He semifinal against Wawrinka will be a rematch of last year’s Australian Open quarter-final that Wawrinka won.
