It’s Super Bowl insanity down in Seattle

SEATTLE (NEWS1130) – If you want to soak up some real Super Bowl atmosphere this Sunday, head south to Seattle!
The city is electric with anticipation, as Seahawks fans gear up for what could be a second straight championship for their team.
With the party already starting down the I-5, a lot of folks from Metro Vancouver are heading to the Emerald City to take part.
“It’s gong to be like Christmas morning on Sunday, one of the best times to be here,” says Kauilani Robinson with VisitSeattle.org. “It’s so exciting. There’s so much energy; the whole city is behind the team.”
Robinson says there is a lot going on in Seattle right through the weekend.
“Really, every neighbourhood is offering something, especially near CenturyLink Field and Pioneer Square. Almost all the restaurants will be doing something if they have a TV and a menu they can customize. It’ going to be hard to miss if you’re in Seattle,” she laughs.
While bars and restaurants are expected to be packed, Robinson says the sheer number of establishments with viewing parties ensures you will find a seat somewhere. Even the central branch of the Seattle library is showing the big game.
“Hopefully, we repeat and take home the championship title again. And if we do, it’s safe to say the party will go on through the night,” she tells News1130. And with a potential victory parade on the following Wednesday, that party could last for days.
“It’s really just super fun right now. The city is just on fire with this team.”
If you do plan to head to Seattle this weekend, many hotels are offering “12th Man” packages and deals.
