Body found in Richmond

RICHMOND (NEWS1130) – A body has been found in Richmond along the Fraser River. It was discovered around 6:00 a.m. by an employee of a business in the area.
“It is a suspicious death at this point. We are treating it as a homicide. We do believe it happened sometime over the weekend but other than that, it’s kind of an unusual spot to find someone,” explains Sgt. Stephanie Ashton.
It’s not clear if the person died on scene or if the body was taken there after. Investigators are also not saying whether it is a man or woman.
River Road between No. 6 and Burdette is where the investigation has been focused.
