The Canucks will have several injured players return for game against Arizona

ARIZONA (NEWS1130) – The Canucks have help on the way! Vancouver has been decimated by injuries over the last month, but things are finally looking up as the team continues its playoff push.

Alex Edler has missed the last eight games and Alex Burrows has missed the last six games, but they will be in the lineup against the Coyotes. Burrows says it’s great to be back.

“It has been a long two weeks. It is tough this time of year to not be able to help your teammates out, but I feel pretty good today.”

Zack Kassian also returns after a bout with the flu forced him to miss Tuesday’s game against San Jose

“I had a good couple meals that I could keep down,” says Kassian, “It is important that you want to play as much as possible, so I am looking forward to tonight.”

Eddie Lack will get the start in net for the Canucks after Jacob Markstrom was shelled for three goals on four shots against the Sharks. Coach Willie Desjardins says he has full confidence in both of his healthy goalies.

“I think Lack is a good goalie. I don’t judge by one game. He has played good and it is good for him to get in and get back on track. I haven’t lost any confidence in Markstrom either. I am confident in both guys. We will get Lack in tonight and we expect good things.”

The Canucks have been shutout in back-to-back games in Arizona. The two teams have split the season series. The Coyotes are adjusting to life after the deadline, in which the team traded veterans Antoine Vermette, Zbynek Michalek and Keith Yandle.

The puck drops at 6 p.m. You can watch it on Sportsnet Pacific. Listen for game updates every 10 minutes on the fives.
