Second vaccination clinic at Surrey school after hepatitis A outbreak

SURREY (NEWS1130) – Health officials are preparing a second vaccination clinic next week following a hepatitis A outbreak at a Surrey elementary school.
An initial round of vaccinations took place at North Ridge Elementary School earlier today.
Doctor Helena Swinkels of Fraser Health says hepatitis A is transmitted through contamination with stool and is believed to have spread from one family.
Swinkels says 75 per cent of students and staff at the school have been contacted.
