Local paparazzo denies police version of confrontation with actor Ryan Reynolds

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A Vancouver-area paparazzo reportedly arrested after a confrontation with actor Ryan Reynolds says the story being circulated is 100 per cent false.

Vancouver police say they are recommending a charge of intimidation against a man whose car apparently struck Reynolds in the parkade of a downtown luxury hotel.

Police have not identified the man they arrested, but two local newspapers have reported that he is Rik Fedyck, a 52-year-old celebrity photographer.

In a text message exchange with The Canadian Press, Fedyck said he didn’t believe he would be going to court over the reported confrontation with the Hollywood superstar.

Fedyck, who has had run-ins with movie stars in the past, is currently scheduled to appear in court on April 28.

In 2007, Fedyck filed a lawsuit claiming he had been verbally and physically assaulted by Pamela Anderson and Denise Richards. He later dropped the lawsuit.
