Highway 1 north of Hell’s Gate reopened after earlier rockslide

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Highway 1 was closed for hours north of Hell’s Gate near Boston Bar because of an earlier rockslide. Crews are now assessing the damage.
Flash flooding and nickel-sized hail also closed two major highways in the Interior Saturday evening. A brief but powerful storm ripped through Cache Creek, closing both Highway 1 and Highway 97 as the routes filled up with water and debris. Both have since been re-opened along the impacted stretch.
