Average transportation plebiscite participation across Metro Vancouver less than 50 per cent

METRO VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – With only two days left to submit ballots, there are only a couple of communities which have cracked the 50 per cent mark for participation in the transportation plebiscite.
About 57 per cent of people living in the Village of Belcarra have sent in their votes.
The average across Metro Vancouver now sits at almost 45 per cent. Just over 698,000 ballots have been screened across the region by Elections BC.
It’s probably too late to mail yours in but you can drop it off at locations across the region.
