Toronto man charged with 2nd-degree murder

A Toronto man has been charged with second degree murder in the death of a 63-year-old Toronto man.

Kenneth McGowan, of Toronto, was found with life-threatening injuries in the hallway of a building on Lumsden Avenue, in the Main Street and Danforth Avenue area, on April 9 at 3:35 p.m.

He died a month later in hospital on May 9, 2015.

The cause of death was trauma to the head caused by blunt impact.

Jean Guy Thibeault, 36, of Toronto, was charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault, unlawfully (being) in a dwelling and two counts of failing to comply with probation.
