Macleans offering opportunity to feel what it’s like to be Canadian

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Ever wanted to race down a bobsleigh track, or throw a stone with an award winning curler?

To mark Canada Day, our corporate cousins at Macleans Magazine are letting you do just that.

Macleans has spent months putting together 148 first-person videos in honour of Canada’s 148th birthday, calling it “What It Feels Like to Be Canadian.”

“It was a challenge, but it was an awesome, awesome thing to do,” says lead photographer Andrew Tolson. “It really gave us this focused idea of what makes being a Canadian great.”

Tolson calls it a labour of love but the go-pro cameras made all the difference.

“You feel like you’re right there,” says Tolson. “We wanted our viewers and our readers to look at these videos and experience them and GoPro gives you that kind of experience.”

You can see all 148 videos on the Macleans website.
