EDMONTON – An Alberta judge has eased Omar Khadr’s bail conditions.
The judge says the former Guantanamo Bay prisoner can visit his grandparents in Toronto.
He can also get rid of his electronic monitoring bracelet.
Khadr is on bail pending an appeal in the United States of his conviction for war crimes, including the murder of an American army medic.
Khadr was 15 when he was captured following a firefight in Afghanistan in 2002, and became the youngest prisoner at the time to be held in Guantanamo.
