Second pedestrian hit at a Surrey bus stop in as many days

SURREY(NEWS 1130) – Surrey Mounties are looking for your help after a pedestrian was hit by a Corvette at a bus stop.
Police say it happened just after 6 p.m. when the driver lost control at King George Boulevard and 96 Ave. went up onto the sidewalk, hit a fire hydrant and then took out a bus stop shelter.
The pedestrian was badly hurt.
Police say the suspected driver ran off and flagged a cab but was caught a short time later at 88 Ave. and King George Blvd.
A passenger in the Corvette was also hurt but stayed behind at the crash scene.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor.

On Wednesday, a 22-year-old man was hit and killed by a Jeep at a bus stop in Surrey.
