VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – How do you get young people to vote? It’s been a big question during this election campaign.
“Votes4Nudes” is taking a bit of a controversial approach in trying to give younger Canadians an incentive to head to the polls.
“Direct message us a selfie of you outside a polling station. Then we will reward you with a little treat,” says the creator, who goes by the alias “Jessica Simps.”
That little treat is a partially nude photo.
The 24-year-old from Montreal admits she is anti-Harper and but says she really just wants young people to get out and vote.
“I was desperate to get people to vote. I thought I would use my body as a resource for change. Hopefully… that will be better for women in the long run,” she tells us.
When you send the picture, you can request a nude of a man or woman.
“Votes4Nudes” already has more than 8,000 followers on Instagram.
