VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The federal NDP is targeting BC, outlining exactly what its promises would mean for this province, in the last push to get your vote.
More jobs and affordable childcare are among pledges we’ve heard before.
But rather than touting the benefits for the country, Surrey-Newton candidate Jinny Sims is one of several candidates trying to gain your support by telling you what they’ll do for BC.
“For BC families, that means 110,000 affordable childcare spaces over the next eight years,” she says.
“A vote for the NDP means recruiting more than 900 new doctors and frontline health care providers in BC,” adds Sims.
She also claims the province would get more than 600 new nursing home beds.
The push follows a tour of BC by leader Tom Mulcair this past weekend.
