VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – It’s time to ring those bells!
The 125th Annual Christmas Kettle Campaign begins with the “Fill the Kettle: Celebrity Kettle Kick Off” at Georgia and Howe Streets in Downtown Vancouver tomorrow.
“It’s going to be very exciting. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday down at the Pacific Centre rotunda, we will be painting the corner red with the Salvation Army kettle kick-off,” says Patricia Cuff with the Salvation Army.
“Some kettles are out a little earlier, some go out a little later — just depending on the locality. But by the 21st of November, most — if not all — kettles, will be out,” she adds.
This year’s goal is to raise $4 million in BC and $21 million nationwide. Every donation to a Christmas kettle will stay within the community.
