The Canucks set to face the Wild

St. Paul, MN (NEWS 1130) – The Canucks look to bounce back from Sunday’s loss in Chicago tonight when they take on the Minnesota Wild.

The NHL is a tough league and the Canucks know they if they want to keep themselves in the playoff picture they need to get their road game turned around in a hurry. They are winless in their last four on the road posting a 0-2-2 record, and have not secured a full two points in a game away from Rogers Arena since the last visit to the Xcel Energy Center in late November knocking off the Wild 3-2.

Vancouver coach Willie Desjardins knows this will not be an easy test for his team. “You know they have lots of strengths. We’re going to need lots of effort tonight, and we’re going to have to have lots of structure and good goaltending. We know that coming in and we have to be prepared.”

Look for Ryan Miller to be between the pipes again tonight while Minnesota will go with Darcy Kuemper. Kuemper will make his fourth straight start after getting the call the last three straight outings in place of the injured Devan Dubnyk. Dubnyk will make his return to the line-up tonight and be available if needed.

Puck drop is at 5 p.m. on Sportsnet Pacific.
